Japanese stretched the battery life up to 20 years

Japanese company Eamex announced the creation of technology that allows to increase the lifespan of lithium-ion batteries up to 20 years and bring the number of recharges to 10 thousand times. CrunchGear writes about this with reference to the agency Nikkei.

Eamex managed to stabilize the electrodes and prevent the destruction of tin on them. Cathode in the new battery includes a tin-coated resin and accumulates lithium ions coming from the anode. The latter is made of silicon and tin.

The report does not say that these batteries will be used in mobile electronic devices. Until it comes to batteries used in electric vehicles and scooters.

The first battery with the use of technology Eamex appear at the end of the year. Their specific power is 10 kilowatts per kilogram. Using new batteries, the alleged inventor, it is very advantageous in regard to price.
