Future Airplanes

In late 2010, NASA has announced a tender for the construction of aircraft of the future. The winners of the contest will be signed a lucrative contract to produce aircraft of the future ... In competition were allowed three aircraft company is: Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman and Boeing, the latter of which will have to develop aircraft for civil aviation. Requirements NASA - to develop and deploy advanced  aircraft  technology and conceptual design of future aircraft that will surf the sky in 2025.
In the early stages of the competition NASA asked for preliminary designs of aircraft that will participate in the contest and subsequently implemented.

All submitted designs and aircraft designs were completely different. Projects airplanes meet the requirements of NASA.

Requirements for NASA aircraft project, which will already be flying in 2025.

Aircraft must be:
Quiet,
No harmful emissions,
Low fuel consumption,
Safe and modernized management system,
Faster than the speed of sound at 85 percent
Flight range of 7,000 km,
Carrying capacity from 50,000 to 100,000 pounds of payload (passengers and passenger load).

Until the end of 2011 the company will have to engage in research, testing and working through its innovative technologies in the creation of a conceptual aircraft of the future.

The winner of the race aircraft will receive multi-billion dollar contract, and will be named the best  aircraft company in the world .
