1:59 — Conor accused Floyd of having a gambling problem, and said that’s why he had to take this fight … to cover his huge losses. He also said he wasn’t sure he’d place a wager on himself to win … as Floyd said he’s going to do.
1:50 PM PT — Conor dropped the B word again — calling Floyd a “boy” again. He vowed to beat “this boy” come Saturday night.
Despite that … both Conor and Floyd are way more reserved in this news conference. Floyd actually complimented Conor, calling him a tremendous fighter, and said he wouldn’t take the UFC champ for granted when they step in the ring.
Although there’s less trash talk … Floyd reminded Conor of the the long list of boxing greats he’d defeated during his 49-0 career, saying they “had bombs” too … and he’d still come out undefeated.
The superstar fighters won’t pull any punches in the insult department … as this is one last shot at encouraging fans to drop some coin on the PPV.
The event is set to kick off from the KA Theater at MGM Grand any moment now.
Expect total chaos — it’s just what they’ve been doing … for better or worse.
