NEW YORK – New York’s aged Kosciuszko Bridge was demolished Sunday morning.
According to WPIX, the residue of a 78-year-old overpass came down Sunday during 8 a.m. as partial of a $873 million plan to refurbish a Kosciuszko Bridge.
The aged bridge’s categorical camber over Newtown Creek was private in July. The final sections of the Kosciuszko Bridge will be taken down regulating a process called “energetic felling.”
“The enterprising felling of a proceed spans of a former Kosciuszko Bridge outlines another miracle in a construction of a initial vital new overpass in New York City in some-more than fifty years and is one some-more pointer that New York State is building a brighter future,” Gov. Andrew Cuomo pronounced in a statement.
