HARPURSVILLE, N.Y. — Zookeepers during Animal Adventure Park contend that a giraffe’s pregnancy is relocating along. They contend Apr has an increasing ardour and feasting could be a pointer of an approaching birth.
Animal Adventure Park began streaming on Feb. 23 on YouTube display Apr scheming to give birth, sketch worldwide attraction. An accurate date and time of when Apr will be giving birth is still not known.
This will be April’s fourth calf and a initial for a father, Oliver. The calf will import around 150 pounds and be approximately 6 feet high during birth. The video was primarily private after animal rights activists flagged a videos as “sexually explicit” before being restored.
Animal Adventure Park posted this refurbish to their Facebook page Friday:
“Hungry Hungry Hip….errr Giraffe!
Keepers news is that Apr has consumed all of final evening’s pellet offering, and continues to eat her hay. Udders are full, polish caps have reappeared (as they will come and go during times), and she is really most “herself”.
The new improvement object (a newer nonplus feeder) has been combined currently after a discerning tweak – that behind a focus yesterday. We will get to see a giraffes’ response today!”
The Zoo posted this refurbish to their Facebook page Thursday night:
“Allysa has reported that Apr has utterly an ardour this evening! This is after a few days of picking during pellet and hay. We have been told by other parks that mothers will infrequently feast only before a birth. Who knows and here is to hoping! Behavior was really standard during first, though shifted during Allysa’s time with her. This is not a bad thing, only adds another square to a puzzle.
Weather has taken a terrible spin here. Rain and cold…and some-more rain. Mild flooding is occurring along a rivers, we will prep a ark. Giraffes will sojourn indoors until conditions are agreeable.”
